Terms of use

Clear rules for a safer community.

Effective 13 July 2026. Please read and accept these terms before creating an account or using community features.

1. The agreement

These terms form an agreement between you and Dog Meetup Ireland for use of the Dog Meetup service. They work with the iOS App Licence, Privacy Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not create an account or upload content. Nothing in these terms removes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Irish or EU consumer law.

2. Eligibility and accounts

3. What Dog Meetup provides

Dog Meetup provides account, dog-profile, park-selection, discovery, messaging, meetup-planning, report, block, export, and deletion tools. Recommendations are practical suggestions, not guarantees of identity, compatibility, behaviour, health, vaccination, legality, park access, or safety. Users must make their own decisions and verify relevant information before meeting.

4. Real-world meetup responsibility

5. User-generated content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Dog Meetup a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, transmit, display, format, and moderate that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and enforce the service. The licence ends when content is deleted, except for copies retained in time-limited backups, evidence preserved for a valid legal or safety reason, or content already lawfully shared with another user.

You must have the right to submit the content and must not reveal another person's private information without a lawful reason. Prohibited material includes illegal content; child sexual abuse or exploitation; sexual solicitation; hate; threats; harassment; bullying; scams; impersonation; spam; graphic cruelty; dangerous instructions; malware; unlawful personal-data disclosure; and content that creates an unsafe meetup environment.

6. Reports, blocks, filtering, and moderation

We aim to review reports about objectionable content within 24 hours. Illegal-content notices and urgent safety concerns are prioritised. A user affected by a moderation decision can request human review by emailing dev@prints3d.org. We may provide a reason for restrictions unless doing so would compromise safety, an investigation, another person's rights, or a legal obligation.

7. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary for serious or repeated rule breaches, legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, user or animal safety, platform-policy compliance, or protection of the service. Where appropriate, we provide notice and a reason. Immediate action may be taken for credible danger, illegal content, exploitation, account compromise, or deliberate evasion. You may stop using the service and request deletion at any time.

8. Service changes, updates, and availability

Features may change to improve safety, lawfulness, compatibility, or reliability. Important security or compatibility updates may be required to keep using the service. Maintenance, incidents, capacity limits, or circumstances outside reasonable control may interrupt access. We use reasonable measures to restore service, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Material contract changes are notified in advance where required by law.

9. Consumer rights and responsibility

Dog Meetup is currently offered without a subscription fee. Any future paid feature will have separate price and cancellation information before purchase. We are responsible for providing the digital service as required by applicable law. These terms do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct, breach of non-excludable consumer rights, or any liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to those rights, Dog Meetup is not responsible for independent acts of users, dogs, venue operators, or public authorities that it does not control.

10. Intellectual property and third-party services

Dog Meetup software, branding, and service design are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. The personal licence does not allow resale, unauthorised copying, reverse engineering except where law expressly permits it, security bypass, scraping, or interference with the service. Apple, Google, Expo, maps, identity, email, and other enabled services may have separate terms that you must follow.

11. Law, disputes, and contact

These terms are governed by Irish law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available where they live. Irish courts may hear disputes, but this does not remove any mandatory right to use another competent forum. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Questions, complaints, illegal-content notices, and appeal requests can be sent to dev@prints3d.org.
