Request account deletion or data deletion
This public page lets Dog Meetup users request deletion of their account and associated app data without needing to sign in to the app.

Delete your account
- Enter the email address used for your Dog Meetup account in the form below.
- Submit the request and keep the reference number shown on screen.
- Dog Meetup will verify ownership if needed, then delete the account and associated data.
You can also delete a signed-in account from the app under Settings.
Delete app data only
- Enter the account email below.
- Use the note box to say which Dog Meetup data you want deleted, for example dog profile, messages, meetup history, or location/park data.
- Dog Meetup will confirm what can be deleted while keeping the account active.
Data deleted when an account is deleted
Dog Meetup deletes personal account data linked to the account, including:
- email address, username, password hash, profile text, and account settings
- dog profiles, dog details stored by the service, and selected park information
- likes, passes, conversations, messages, meetup requests, reports, blocks, notices, notification preferences, and location requests linked to the account
- support records that are no longer needed after the deletion request is completed
Data that may be kept for a limited period
Some records may be retained where necessary for safety, security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute handling:
- deletion request records and minimal audit logs may be kept for up to 24 months
- production encrypted database backups are designed to rotate after 30 days
- reports, moderation records, safety incidents, and legal requests may be kept only as long as necessary to protect users, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims
- anonymous or aggregated analytics that no longer identify a person may be kept
Processing time
Dog Meetup responds to valid deletion requests without undue delay and normally within one month. Where data-protection law permits an extension for a complex request, Dog Meetup will explain the extension and reason within the first month. Identity may be verified before account data is changed or disclosed.
